TEHRAN Malaysia's Islamic Art Museum has announced readiness to hold an exhibition on clothes of Islamic and Western countries in Iran. The exhibition is currently being held in Malaysia and will continue till the end of September.
Ms. Mandana Barkehsly, Iranian director of the Malaysian museum, said the exhibition will display different dressings of the Easterners and Westerners in 16th-19th centuries.
Referring to Iran's welcome of the exhibition, the director said it indicates unbelievable gap between Western and Eastern cultures.
Dr. Barkeshly said: "When watching the exhibition, one should consider cultural backgrounds of any item in order to find out the differences."
